Simon and Olivia turn ONE

From 2 lbs to 20, I still can't believe you're mine. In one instant my heart was healed, all of the heartache gone, filled up by not one but two little souls.

I will never forget the moment I first held you in my arms.

I will never forget the final signature that said you belonged to us.

I will always remember the day we all joined hands, ity-bity and big, across the altar to become a family.

How special you are to be loved by so many in so short a time.

And they're off....



Well it's official, they're now on the go. Liv just perfected the army scoot/crawl yesterday, and this morning as you can see she is already into everything. Simon is still doing the scoot/roll thing so he isn't "on the go" yet.

Dave and I are leaving town this weekend while his parents come and watch the twins....sorry guys you might be in for a crazy couple of days.

Simon's got Teeth

I forgot to take a picture of Simon and his first new teeth. They came in around the 25th of August.

9 month update

Simon and Olivia turned nine months a couple of weeks ago. Crazy. They are doing so good. I have to admit though, that having preemies is hard sometimes. They stay at developmental stages longer than average babies, so it gets a little tiring. I am doing better at feeding them, they eat baby food, melba toast, cheerios, canned green beans....I need to get braver and start them on more food, but it is HARD with twins. Here are they recent stats:

Adventures in feeding

We took the plunge today and started to introduce solids. Simon loved it...of course. Liv, not so sure. These milestones are crazy, I can't believe how fast they are growing.

Coconut was just as excited about feeding them as we were. Yeah...more food at my level.

Whaddaya mean my bowls empty?

5 months today

We were born 5 months ago today, but we are only 3 months old. Because we came so early, our growth and development didn't officially begin until January. So in celebration of today we want to show our family and friends some of the things we can do.

Simon's stats: 14lbs 3 oz. 23 inches
Olivia's stats: 11lbs 8 oz. 22 inches

We can smile big when we want to. (trying to get one to smile at this age is hard, two....nearly impossible.)



We can hold our heads by ourselves with attitude....


or with poise.


We can lift ourselves off our tummies to look up at mom and dad.


And we can hold hands. Happy 5 months everyone!
